| |
|
►
All 4th grade
students in Clay County are given a copy
of the novel The Black Stallion.
|
| |

All participating 4th grade teachers
receive a curriculum guide that meets
national and state standards, making the
project a multi-disciplinary project
that includes geography, math, reading,
art, writing and music.
|
| |
|
►
Before beginning
the novel, the participating teachers
attend a professional development
workshop on the project.
|
| |
|
►
A 6 foot cardboard cutout of the Black
Stallion is provided to each
participating class.
|
| |
|
►
A video of the 1979 award-winning movie
is made available to the participating
classes.
|
| |
|
► All classes travel
by bus to the Jacksonville Equestrian

Nights!
